Some of her other interests are scuba diving, travelling and reading. She would also like to finish her current studies to become an Avian Board Certified Veterinarian. Dr. Regan is the proud former owner of a lively Tucamen Amazon parrot named Pickle, and deeply misses Phoenix, Whiskers, Navar and Bailey.

She was also an active volunteer at the Wild Bird Clinic, working with the resident Red-Tail Hawk named Kaila and helping to promote responsible stewardship of wildlife.
Dr. Louws has also worked at the Avian/Exotics clinic at the Ontario Veterinary College and at their Intensive Care Unit. She has a special interest in the avian species -with a goal of becoming board certified in Avian Medicine through her work here- and the care of all our companion animals.
Her hobbies include cycling, hiking, back-country camping & canoeing, theatre, and music. She is currently working towards her grade 5 piano certificate. She is owned by two cats: Drift, who was found by a client of ours in a snow drift, and Mabel, who was a stray kitten.
